Theodore Finch is fascinated by death, and he constantly thinks of ways he might kill himself. But each time, something good, no matter how small, stops him.
Violet Markey lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister’s recent death.
When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, it’s unclear who saves whom. And when they pair up on a project to discover the “natural wonders” of their state, both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries: It’s only with Violet that Finch can be himself—a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who’s not such a freak after all. And it’s only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet’s world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink.
This three words perfectly describe this book. this is a book that will say tucked at your heart forever.
this book was such an emotional read that i cried so hard while reading the book and even after finishing book. i can say it left an impact on me. i continued to think about the book for a long time last night. and whatever happened in the book is not AT ALL FICTIONAL and many people goes through this in their school
WE MIGHT THINK THAT LABELS AND GOSSIP DONOT HURT A PERSON BUT THEY DO….EVEN IF THEY DONT SHOW IT.
"I guess now you know you're not the only freak".Its the nicest thing she's ever said to me -page 286
the way jennifer niven spoke about all this truly remarkable
and the thing i think in this book is Finch. he is so differnt from others and the funny and quirky he both talked was something i enjoyed in this book
"We dont remember days,we remember moments" -page 315
and the romance in his book so cute and adorable. i LOVED their chemistry and the conversation…
"The thing i realise is that it's not what you take, it's what you leave." page376
Also i really liked thje way the plot as well as the character developed with time. The pain the emotion and everything shown in this book is so REAL.
The way Violet copes with the death of her sister reminded me so much about my own sister. Like them, we both are best friend and we tell each other everything. IT will BE TERRIBLE TO LOSE HER. And thats why i could REALLY FEEL VIOLET’S PAIN.
LOSING SOMEONE NEAR AND DEAR IS ALWAYS HARD.
OVERALL the story was just perfect for me and i totally rcommend it.
It was so moving and impactful that even my words cant express it..
THIS WAS MY CONDITION AFTER READING THE BOOK…
PLOT- 4.7/5 stars
P.S.Even the Author’s note was so moving..
